The regular meeting of Brant Lodge No. 45 was held Tuesday March 10/81 with Wor. Bro. Gerald Money in the Chair. As Mr. Harry McClelland was waiting in the ante room, the Worshipful Master appointed an examining board to retire and examine the candidate. R. Wor. Bro. Jack Atkinson was directed to ask the three questions and the Secretary was directed to collect the customary fee.
Wor. Bro. W. R. Rutledge, Director of ceremonies then introduced R. Wor. Bro. Hilton Davidson, DDGM of Brant Masonic District on his Official visit to Brant Lodge. Grand honours were led by Bro. J. W. The DDGM was received by the Worshipful Master in the East. Bro. J. D. retired and on his return Mr. Harry Yates McClelland was initiated into the order of Freemasonry.

September 8, 1981

The Lodge opened in the 1st degree with Wor. Bro. Gerald Money in the Chair. The following business was transacted. Minutes adopted as read. Bro. Mac Langill Chairman of the Sick) reported on Bro. Bert Roshier, V. Wor. Bro. Ken Baker and Bro. Ray Waller. It was moved by Bro. Ralph Shellington and Seconded by Bro. Jack Herron that Article 7 section 3 and 3a of our by-laws re: annual dues be amended. Carried.

The Lodge was opened in the second degree and Bro. David John Gregory was examined as to his proficiency in the 2nd degree and he was found to be very efficient.The W. M. then called the brethren from labour to refreshment for a period of 10 minutes. Upon returning to the labours of the evening R. Wor. Bro. Lloyd Lawrence was presented to the Lodge on the first meeting following his election as DDGM. Following this introduction a degree team from the Scottish Rite Association of

Brantford headed by R. Wor. Bro. Fred Bowery was introduced. The Lodge was opened in the third degree by this team and Bro. David John Gregory was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason in a most efficient and distinguished manner, it being noted that every participating officer was at his best.

The Lodge was then closed by the team in the third and second degrees and Brant Lodge Officers resumed their stations and closed in the first degree- after which all retired to the banquet room for refreshments and a social hour.
